Showing the GSD. isn't an easy task, it takes lots of hard work enthusiasm and dedication.

Not all shepherds make it in the ring, most breeders find they are lucky if one pup out of a litter makes the grade.

Each show dog must follow the breed standard(details of this are shown on my page "The German Shepherd Dog),Aswell as having a sound character, they must also have the enthusiastic attitude required for a good working ability in the ring.

Before taking this path, it is advisable to join a local GSD.training club.Talk to people that have experience in the breed, and especially the breeder whom you purchased your puppy from.Listen to all the comments made, learn and research the breed, visit a few local breed shows, then decide if this is the "game" for you. If the answer is Yes, then go in with an open mind, don't be dissapointed if you don't do well at first. All the big kennels started at the bottom, and worked their way up the "political" ladder, and like most things in this world its not what you know-or what you've got, its "who you know"!good luck.
